I have to admit that the best restaurants I’ve ever visited were in Poland ! I do not say this because my girlfriend is polish and that Love can make people blind, no, no, that’s true.
I’m now in Gorzow Wielkopolski, western Poland (about 150.000 inahbitants), and when I’m here I always try to go the ‘Restauracja Pasja’ Restauracja Pasja Website, which is my favorite restaurant so far. I’m really astonished by the price, the quality of the food, the taste, the presentation,the service and our hosts, it’s really close to perfection in my mind ! I mean, really !
Can you imagine only one second that for 23 zloty (it means about 5.40 € !) you can order a lunch menu (That’s what we ordered yesterday). The one for yesterday was made with a cauliflower soup with fried camenbert, then as for the second part : chicken, fried potatoes (no raw french fried, be quiet) vegetables and mushroom sauce !

For sure there is not a lot of chicken, and also not a huge amount of soup, and also two little parts of camenbert, but come one, that’s a lunch ! And by the way this kind of quantity is just what I’m expecting when I’m in a restaurant, in my mind it’s even just the perfect quantity of food ! I mean, I want to have some delightful pleasure eating some very tasty meals, I’m not going to a restaurant just to fullfill my stomach, otherwise I would visit a ‘kebab’ for example ! Or just some random fastfood. And it would just be an easy-to-forget moment, even a ready-to-forget moment !
We did not have a desert, although people adviced us the Cheesecake, because we had ate a lot of extra things those last days with easter times, but we could have, as the meal is well balanced and rather light. We could have choose to have a dessert without ‘bad-minding’ about it.
Still really impressed, and every time that I visit Pasja, I’m never disappointed !
And no, this is not an ad for this restaurant, it’s my very true opinion.
The only negative point about this restaurant is… the frontdoor ! Oh inside the style is just very good, (simple, clean, modern) but outside… come on… it just need a little something.
